StrangerTest

Find out what your landing page actually communicates

You can read your own landing page and see what you meant. Nobody else can. The gap between those two readings is where visitors leave, and it is invisible from the inside — which is the entire reason this is hard to fix by staring at it.

Free. No account. Public pages only — nothing is bought, sent, submitted or changed on your site.

What a first-time reader is actually doing

They are not reading your page. They are scanning it for a sentence that tells them whether this is for them, and leaving if they do not find one quickly. A page can be well written, well designed and completely clear to everyone who already knows the product, and still fail that test. What you need is not an opinion about the copy — it is a record of what somebody concluded, and at which point they concluded it.

What this does instead of a critique

Independent users open your page in a real browser, each with a different goal. Nobody is told what to look for. They read, follow links, get confused, backtrack and give up — and what gets recorded is what they did and what they expected, not what a model thinks of your layout. StrangerTest then compares their journeys and reports the friction the evidence supports.

When the answer is that nothing is wrong

Plenty of landing pages come back with one small observation, or none. That is a real result and it is reported as one. A scan that invents a problem to look useful is worth less than nothing, because you would go and act on it.

Reasonable questions

How is this different from a heuristic audit or an AI critique?

A critique tells you what a model thinks of a screenshot. This tells you what happened when people who had never seen your product tried to use it — which page they were on, what they expected next, and where that expectation broke.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Paste a URL. The users browse your public pages in a real browser.

What it costs

The scan above is free and needs no account. A Full Scan is $29 one-time — more users over more of your product, signed-in testing where it is allowed, what to change, a prompt for your coding agent, and a re-test to check the fix landed. No subscription.
